5th Annual General Meeting

Antinatalism Japan had its 5th annual general meeting on Sunday, August 10, 2025, and addressed the following matters:


  1. Election of board members

  2. Financial report

  3. Abolishment of the 'opposed' membership type and addition of an anti-violence term to membership agreements for new regular member and associate members


  1. ELECTION OF BOARD MEMBERS

The current director and accountant Asagi Hozumi, and 2 of 3 current auditors were candidates for their respective posts, and no objection was raised to their appointment.

It was agreed that the new term for the board members would begin on August 27, 2025, when the current term expires.


  1. FINANCIAL REPORT

Accountant Hozumi reported on ANJ's finance from August 2024 to July 2025.


  1. ABOLISHMENT OF THE 'OPPOSED' MEMBERSHIP TYPE AND ADDITION OF AN ANTI-VIOLENCE TERM TO MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENTS FOR NEW REGULAR MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Hozumi, who proposed rule revisions to

  1. abolish the 'opposed' membership type, and

  2. add an anti-violence term that one needs to consider violence as an inappropreate means to the end of antinatalism, to the agreements for new members

explained the revisions and the reasons.

One participant asked a question about the bombing incident by Bartkus, which had been mentioned as a background to the proposal, and Hozumi answered it.

The proposal was approved unanimously.
